It’s summertime, y’all!
No, I’m not from the South (of the USA) but it is practically summer, although not technically so for a few weeks. (Like, say, two. Eek!)
But the sun is shining, the plants are growing, the sweat is flowing and the strawberries are coming out. Yes, I said sweat. I’m not going to lie, I’m a lady but I still have bodily functions. This is a last hurrah.
A last hurrah to gusts of freezing winds and blasting flurries of sudden hail.
A last hurrah to thick socks and boots and leggings.
A last hurrah to snuggles with fluffies (blankets) and warming hot chocolate.
A last hurrah to winter in all its glory.
I decided not to do NaNoWriMo this year.
It makes me a little sad, because I really really really enjoyed the whole process last year of discovering a whole book within me and trying, teeth gritted, white-knuckled, to extricate it and put it on paper. It’s still in unfinished, unedited, partially untyped form. Read the rest of this entry »
